Second album Restless Legs out on 25th August through Philophobia Music
Newcastle based noise pop quintet Baker Island have been busy the last few years. They’ve released three singles and their debut album Bobby Hundreds, played at Indietracks Festival, Evolution Emerging Festival, and shared the stage with the likes of Jeffrey Lewis, Chorusgirl, Sky Larkin, Oh Well Goodbye, Dignan Porch, Allo Darlin’, Witching Waves, The Wave Pictures and The Lovely Eggs.
They’re not slowing down though, as is evidenced on new single ‘Write Home’. A short blast of fuzzed up and melodic glory, it appears to be a warning to someone called Dennis. I think. It’s accompanied by a charmingly lo-fi video of a band of plush owls playing the song under the moniker ‘Faker Island’. Check it out below.
