The Gaslight Anthem stream new song “Rollin’ and Tumblin”

0

The Gaslight Anthem stream new song from their forthcoming album Get Hurt.

The track is the first song to be released from their fifth album, Get Hurt, which will see release via Island Records on August 19th. The new album, which vocalist/guitarist Brian Fallon says is influenced by Pearl Jam‘s No Code, was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville by Mike Crossey (Jake Bugg, The 1975).

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Fallon described the album as “completely different than anything we had ever done before. Instead of going that extra step of just adding some organ or some background vocals, this time we actually really changed up a lot of the sounds.”

Despite Fallon’s claims that the album will be a complete departure from their previous material, the song bears a strong resemblance to the uplifting working class classic rock influenced punk on which they have made their name.  Perhaps the album as a whole will be more divergent.

The band will embark on an extensive tour of North America and Europe in support of the new record.

Below, check out the the fairly terrible album artwork, the track-listing and tour dates.
