Halestorm And Corey Taylor Cover Temple Of The Dog’s ‘Hunger Strike’

2

Good Christ!

Halestorm, an American rock band led by Lzzy Hale, and Corey Taylor, of Slipknot and Stone Sour fame, have covered the Temple of the Dog classic ‘Hungerstrike’ at the 2015 Alternative Press Music Awards at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH.

Personally, we’re not too enamoured with the cover over here at Overblown. The whole thing is very proficient. Lzzy Hale can hit the high notes, and Corey is typically reliable. The guitarist’s tone is a bit tinny and he throws a pinch harmonic in there (ewwww), and there’s no bottom end from the bass, but the drummer really goes for it. Overall, there seems to be something missing though. A certain indefinable quality.

Please stop ruining great songs, just embarrassing.

Hey, I agree with you Fraser, but some people on Facebook seem to be enjoying it. There’s no accounting for taste.
