Jet Setter come from Dublin. Jet Setter play loud guitars. Jet Setter are damn good. They’ve been compared to The Replacements, Dinosaur Jr, The Smashing Pumpkins, and The Strokes. High praise indeed. For me, they sound like a staple of the 80s American college rock scene fronted by a less morose Ian Curtis. The track is just over two minutes, but is a jaunty and playful lo-fi gem that will have you singing along after about half a listen: “First time I didn’t know what to do…”
The new single “Dippin’ Toes” was released on October 17th through Any Other City Records, whose previous releases include the likes of James Vincent McMorrow, Villagers, Squarehead, and most recently Girl Band.
Jet Setter will be touring the following cities (or towns in the case of Sligo and Limerick):
23/10 – Kasbah Social Club – Limerick
24/10 – McGarrigles – Sligo
25/10 – Whelans – Dublin (SINGLE LAUNCH)
01/11 – Crane Lane – Cork
19/11 – The Old Blue Last – London
