Sun Coming Down Is Out Via Constellation Records On 18th September.

Montreal based art-punks Ought have shared the first track, ‘Beautiful Blue Sky’, to be released from Sun Coming Down, the follow up to their much lauded debut album More Than Any Other Day. The album is set to be released on September 18th via Constellation Records.

The track sees the group explore the more expansive songs from their debut as it embarks on meandering passages that develop and build more like a classical piece of music rather than a traditional rock song. With the prominent baseline, chiming guitars, and minimal instrumentation the track often recalls Murray Street era Sonic Youth. Which is pretty awesome as that is Overblown’s second favourite Sonic Youth album. Result.

The track-list for Sun Coming Down is as follows:
1. ‘Men For Miles’
2. ‘Passionate Turn’
3. ‘The Combo’
4. ‘Sun’s Coming Down’
5. ‘Beautiful Blue Sky’
6. ‘Celebration’
7. ‘On The Line’
8. ‘Never Better’

I can’t stop listening to this track! Incredible. One of my favourite albums last year, and one of my favourite songs this year. Must go and see them live soon!
