Parquet Courts Announce New Album

They’re fairly prolific aren’t they? In 2011 Brooklyn angular punks Parquet Courts released American Specialities, in 2012 it was Light Up Gold, and this year they hit 55 in the American album charts with Sunbathing Animal. On top of this they released an EP, Tally All The Things That You Broke, in 2013 under the moniker Parkay Quarts. Now, they’ve announced another LP under the name Parkay Quarts called Content Nausea. It’s out November 11 via What’s Your Rupture? Listen to the first release from the record, “Uncast Shadow of a Southern Myth”, above.

The record probably serves as a stop gap between their last LP and their next proper full length, as it serves more in twisted Americana than the fuzzed up post-punk of the band’s regular albums.
