It has been an interesting few years for skewed guitar popsters Post Louis. Bulking up from a duo, Robbie Stern (formerly of Cajun Dance Party) on guitar and Stephanie Davin taking care of the covals, on their debut EP to a quartet for last year’s more accomplished Uptight EP saw them more from being potentially awesome to veritably awesome.
While it will not feature on the finished product, ’30m Pool’ is our first hint of what the group may sound like as a five piece for their upcoming debut album. The track sees them offer a more robust example of their shimmering dream pop aesthetic with guitar and bass-lines intertwining faultlessly over an economical beat, while Stephanie Davin’s effortless vocals half drift, half soar over the top.
Post Louis are currently writing their debut album which will consist of completely new songs. They have entered pre-production at London’s Norwegian church.
You can catch the band live at The Waiting Room in London on September 12th, where they will be launching the single.
