International Debut LP A Youthful Dream Out 10 June Via Fat Possum.
Danish DIY punks Yung have returned with yet another track ahead of the release of their debut international album A Youthful Dream. ‘Commercial’ follows previous singles from the album, ‘The Child‘, ‘Uncombed Hair‘, and ‘Pills‘, and showcases the groups insistence on marrying fuzzy guitars, slightly off key vocals, and an abundance of melodies.
On the track vocalist Mikkel Holm Silkier explains “This an old one. I originally demoed it a couple of years back but didn’t really like it back then. When we where about to record the album it resurfaced out of the blue and made it onto the album. Lyrically it’s about the very strange effect advertising can have on you. Some TV ads can really light up your own appalling everyday life.”
