Yung Share 'Nobody Cares'

Wow. You know, in 2015 punk can be pretty predictably stale and homogenised. Obviously, no one told Danish quartet Yung. Following in the footsteps of countrymen Iceage, Yung bring a wonderfully fresh exuberance to the punk aesthetic. ‘Nobody Cares’ is the first release from their debut international EP Alter (out March 2nd via Tough Love) and it joyously careens between mid tempo jangly guitars and breakneck punk fury. In singer Mikkel Holm Silkjaer’s drunken howl of “nobody cares” during the denouement there is a glorious defiance. It is delivered as a euphoric call to arms, the hopeless words juxtaposed wonderfully with the searing, soaring guitars, and Silkjaer’s fuck you attitude.

Alter will be available to buy digitally and as a limited run of transparent red vinyl worldwide from March 2ndUK / 3rd US on Tough Love Records.
