Bitch Falcon’s new single ‘Gaslight’ is out now.
One of Ireland’s most promising rock bands Bitch Falcon have shared the video for their recent single ‘Gaslight’. The track, built on a propulsive bassline from Barry O’Sullivan, a driving beat from drummer Nigel Kenny and typically impassioned vocals from Lizzie Fitzpatrick, is a soaring and rumbling beauty that sits easily alongside Bitch Falcon’s impressive catalogue. This one, for me, kind of sounds like Bjork fronting a grunge band circa 1993. The video is a dark and nightmarish affair, that calls to mind a fever dream full of blurry images and strange noises.
The video was shot at Mill Studio, Dublin 8 by director Colm Moore. It was produced by Megan Brady with camera assistant/gaffer Leon Forristal. The track was recorded at The Meadows, Co.Wicklow by Deaf Brothers (Rian Trench & Robert Watson) and mixed by Alex Newport at Future Shock Studios, Los Angeles before being mastered by Magnus Lindberg at Redmount Studios, Stockholm.
