Gim Kordon’s new single ‘Joskus mä pelkään’ is out now.
Finish alt-rock trio Gim Kordon (clever, eh?) have shared the video for their latest single ‘Joskus mä pelkään’ (that means “sometimes I’m scared”). The track is a mid-tempo ’90s alt-rock number that calls to mind some classic bands of the day such as Superchunk, Lemonheads and the Breeders. It is a pretty charming gem of a song and the band’s first release since the release of their single ‘Vieläkin on ikävä’ in 2015. Prior to that they released their debut album in 2014. Next year they plan to release the follow up! Can’t wait!
“Joskus mä pelkään was originally referred to by its working title The Posies during band practices; it has clear references to the golden age of our favourite band. It’s also fun that I met Janne for the first time at The Posies’ gig at the legendary Tavastia club in Helsinki in 1996, and I also got to know drummer Alexandros Karoutsos around the same time,” says singer/guitarist Aleksi Pahkala about the new single.
