Alt rock: The Empty Page ‘You’re Tame’

The Empty Page

The Empty Page’s track ‘You’re Tame’ is out now on vinyl via Punk Fox Records.

English alt-rock power trio The Empty Page released ‘You’re Tame’ a few months back so we’re a bit late to the party. No matter. The track is an extremely 90s slice of alt rock in the vein of Pixies, Hole, or Veruca Salt. Making use of the classic loudQUIETloud dynamic, the track is brimming with power and tension. Led by a glorious lead vocal line from singer Kel, has that effortless quality that is, ironically, quite hard to attain. Check it out below.

According to the press release, “The song explores the idea of domestication in humans (and animals) and the depression and limitation that comes with being forced to smother your wild side under a facade of normalisation and dull routine. We are all beasts after all.” This calls to mind the classic 90s hit ‘Pets’ by Porno for Pyros. What a jam that was.

Purchase the ‘You’re Tame’ 7 inch via Bandcamp.
