Beck Shares The Funky ‘Dreams’

‘Dreams’ Is The Lead Single From As Yet Untitled New Album

Last year saw Beck controversially win a Grammy for his LP Morning Phase, a largely contemplative record reminiscent of his fifth LP Sea Change. It seems that just as the diminutive and eclectic singer-songwriter followed up that album with the upbeat pop of Guero, his upcoming album will also be energetic and dance-floor ready. That is if latest single ‘Dreams’ is anything to go by.

The track is a funky, and groovy number which calls to mind the version of Beck that sang ‘Sexx Laws’, and ‘E-Pro’. Beck hasn’t been this accessible in ten years. The track will feature as the first single to be taken from Beck’s as of yet untitled tenth official studio album, and his thirteenth overall. There has been no release date muted for the record just yet, although it would not be unreasonable to expect it before the end of the year.

If you don’t care for the video of the track, you can listen to the song below.
