Kerry McKee’s new album Mono Secular Sounds is due to be released on September 4th via Icons Creating Evil Art (INgrooves).
A one-man band based in rural Sweden, Old Kerry McKee started out in a metal band but slowly replaced the other musicians with a drum kit, vinyl player and now a cassette recorder. The result is evident on his new track ‘Cattle & Wolves’. Ostensibly a blues-rock track, the song also incorporates some metal and punk flourishes which give the song a rubicund intensity. Lyrically, the song focuses on Old Kerry McKee’s break from a religious bringing to embrace a more humanist secular worldview which also seems to be the thematic focus of his upcoming new album Mono Secular Sounds which is out on September 4th via Icons Creating Evil Art (INgrooves).
