Bob Mould Shares Video For ‘Voices In My Head’, Announces New Album

Patch The Sky  Is Out On March 25th Via Merge Records.

Legendary alt rock pioneer Bob Mould (ex-Husker Du and Sugar) has shared the video for the first track to be released from his upcoming 12th solo album Patch The Sky. The video, like many of Mould’s videos, is a throw back to the popular videos of the 90’s and features a despondent Mould being harassed by ghostly versions of himself (the voices in his head). Musically, the song mines the classic alternative rock sound that Mould has returned to over his last three of four records.

“At the core of these songs is what I call the chemical chorus—you hear it once and your brain starts tingling, “says Mould of the album. “The heart rate picks up. It gets worse—you know it’s coming again and you can barely stand the anticipation. Then, the beautifully heartbreaking bridge appears, and you’re all set up—hooked for life. Music is an incredibly powerful drug. I want to be your drug dealer. I have what you need.”
