Darkside Announce Indefinite Hiatus
Darkside, the electronia collaboration between electronic producer Nicolas Jaar and multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington, have called an indefinite hiatus through a short statement on Facebook. They have also released two tracks that didn’t make it onto debut album Psychic called “Gone Too Soon” and “What They Say“.
They will play their last show on September 12th at Brooklyn Masonic Temple.
Darkside’s debut album Psychic was released to critical acclaim on October 4th 2013 via Matador Records. Pitchfork declared the album to be “prismatic, black-lit aura of their fascinating, endlessly explorable”, while Consequence of Sound stated the album is, “an effort that not only highlights both Jaar and Harrington’s individual talents, but also how, together, Darkside can create a work of genius.”
