Daydreams – ‘Pupper’ (Overblown Video Premiere)

New EP Teenage Feelings  Out July 11th.

It seems that Daydreams (aka Dan Crook) is a bit of a an introvert and a somewhat of a romantic. His latest track ‘Pupper’, the first to be released from his upcoming EP Teenage Feelings, is absolute testament to that. On the breezy dream pop song he at first gets a little paranoid (“Everyone is staring at me”) but manages to find solace in an unidentified young lady’s house who just happens to also be the object of his affection (“I just want more time to pass / Just so I can call her mine”). It’s an echo filled, quick number with early post punk drums that floats by over the course of three minutes rather delightfully.

We’re delighted to be premiering the video for the track above! “All footage was filmed via iPhone,” Chavez told us recently. “All random videos and snippets that were taken via Snapchat that myself and other people took on their own, all compiled with each other. Some footage include saved Snapchats that were taken at past shows as well.” The endeavour is wonderfully lo-fi and DIY which adds an low key intimacy to the track which perfectly compliments the laid-back track.
