New Album Is The Is Are Out Soon Via Captured Tracks.
After what seems like an absolute eternity, New York dream pop/shoegazers DIIV have shared the first track to be released from their upcoming second album, Is The Is Are. The follow up to 2012’s Oshin will be released via Captured Tracks ‘soon’ according to a recent post on the band’s Facebook page. In the meantime, the new track is called ‘Dopamine’ and is a dreamy yet driving piece of delightfulness that picks up pretty much where their debut let off. No sign of their so called more ‘aggressive’ approach for this album yet.
In a statement on Facebook, the band stated, “New DIIV song! Can’t believe it’s finally starting to happen. Here’s the first song we’re letting out from our upcoming album “Is The Is Are”, out soon on Captured Tracks. This album has been a long time in the making, and I’ve poured so much of myself into it. Do you love me? DIIV is the real me. Also, don’t forget to get tickets for our tour next month with No Joy and Sunflower Bean — see u at the show!”
