Ealadha – ‘Hurricanes’ | Overblown Video Premiere

Debut EP Limit Of Our Sight out now.

Cork based post-rock/ambient trio Ealadha, pronounced elada in English or awe-la in Irish, released their rather stunning debut EP, Limit of our Sight, earlier this year. Comprised of cathartic and soaring songs that explore the width and depth of the human condition, the EP is a wonderful meeting of musicianship and focused song writing.

In a piece of perfect symmetry, the band have now shared the music video for ‘Hurricanes’, one of the stand out tracks from the EP. Directed and filmed by Rob O’ Halloran with assistant director Kitty Thompson, timelapse footage by Ruairi O’ Neill, and featuring actor Emilie O’Driscoll, the clip is a wonderfully artistic endeavour that showcases the band’s native county of Cork beautifully while also exploring similar themes as the song itself.

“The track is centered around our innate ability to overcome life’s obstacles and to defy,” says Dom Murphy, front-man with Ealadha. “Touching on the themes of life, death and the creativity found in between, this video aims to match the transcendent, swelling rhythm and vocal content with it’s own complimentary story,” adds Rob O’ Halloran.
