It seems Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar can do no wrong. His new collaboration, “Never Catch Me”, with multi-genre producer Flying Lotus is a unstoppable breakneck tour de force of breathless rapping and prog jazz drums and guitar. The video features two children who rise from the dead at a funeral to dance their asses off. Hiru Murai, who has previously worked with Queens of the Stone Age, Earl Sweatshirt, and St. Vincent, directed the video with his typically stylish and quirky aesthetic.
The song will feature on Flying Lotus’ upcoming album You’re Dead out October 7th.
