Debut Single I’ll Be Waiting is out November 25th via Supersonic Media.
‘I’ll Be Waiting’ by pop punk quartet Hello Casanova (previously known as Foreign Affairs) explodes with earnest desire and vigour like a Northern Irish version of Frank Turner covering Blink 182 songs. Defiantly and triumphantly vulnerable, the track showcases razor sharp and slightly distorted guitars filled with youthful exuberance that lead the track into an anthemic tale of true love. Combining a slight Irish tinge to a knack for melody that is reminiscent of Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge at their most romantic, the quartet also add just a hint of an emo/post hardcore vibe that imbues the track with an ever so slightly serrated edge.
The single was recorded by acclaimed producer Rocky O’Reilly (And So I Watch You From Afar) with an accompanying video recorded at Wreckless Skatepark in Gorey, Ireland featuring a live performance by the band featuring Irish skaters and stunt bikers.
“I’ll Be Waiting is the happiest song we’ve ever written! As Foreign Affairs, we put out a lot of serious tracks that were political, angry and very serious! Now, as Hello Casanova, we wanted our first track to be a positive burst of energy!” says guitarist Ethan Williamson of the track. “This song details our singer Matt’s love for his girlfriend, who he’s been with for five years! We wanted it to be catchy, anthemic and have heart and we’re over the moon with the results! We’re currently heading to the studio to record our next single which we’re also very very proud of.”
