New Album The Zen Of Losing Out Now.
Apparently, the name ‘Jason’ means ‘healer’. That is remarkably apt for Windsor, California based alt country singer/songwriter Jason P. Krug. His new album The Zen of Losing is a sixteen song travelogue of breaking up and so obviously healing is one of its central themes. ‘The Last Days of Rome’ is a prime example which essentially deals with how the two people in the relationship wasted their love: “And we squandered what we were given / It wasn’t healthy but it was home”. Musically, the track comes on like a more reflective version of The Rolling Stones as bluesy guitars, driving drums and Jagger-esque vocals buck up next to mournful cello. Wonderful stuff.
