Joseph Lawrenson – ‘Can’t Stop Thinking’ (Live at Chapel Works) | Overblown Video Premiere

Joseph Lawrenson

Debut solo EP I’ll Never Be Young Again will be released on 27th July 2018 via Hide & Seek Records and Come Play With Me.

Ahead of the release of his debut EP, singer/songwriter Joseph Lawrenson has shared an intimate live video recorded by Anthologies in Leeds. The clip, which features Joseph and his band playing ‘Can’t Stop Thinking’ surrounded by Christmas lights and musical equipment, is a perfect complement to the intimate and heartfelt track.

“It was great to team up with Sean of Anthologies once again,” says Joseph. “I’ve always appreciated the work he does behind the camera – he has a fantastic vision. I got some excellent musicians together for the occasion: my old pal and ex Dancing Years drummer Joe Montague and new friends Simeon Walker (Keys) and Anthony Ord (Bass).”

The track will feature on Joseph’s debut EP, which is out this Friday. “The EP is named after Daphne du Marrier’s terrible first novel, for which I have a soft spot, says Joseph “At the time I read it, it perfectly summed up the restlessness, naivety, hopefulness and discontent of being young. And I suppose the title serves as a sort of mantra to myself, in deciding not to be like that anymore.”
