Life Model – ‘Lucky’ | Overblown Track Premiere

Do you feel lucky? You should, Glasgow’s Life Model are set to release the Lucky EP and here’s the first play of it’s title track. We’ve watched Life Model play many times over the last 18 months and it’s been a joy to watch them get better and better each and every time. They’ve developed their dream pop sound into something that feels more substantial than that description suggests. They write glorious guitar based pop songs but they’re mastering the craft of adding crunch in all the right places. ‘Lucky’ is the perfect example, short, sharp and urgent sounding verses balanced with velvety vocals and shiny guitars. Sublime.

The new EP will be released on Friday 21 July through the Durham label Frux Tapes and will be available digitally as well as on a limited run of cassettes via the Frux Tapes Bandcamp. Life Model’s own Christopher T Smith recorded the EP and it was mixed by Susan Bear (Tuff Love). As well as the title track the EP features ‘4Ever’ and ‘Together’ as well as the previously shared, and equally excellent ‘Skin and Bones’.
