Magic Potion Share Video For ‘Booored’

Debut EP Melt  Out June 1st Via PNK SLM Recordings And Beech Coma

Ever miss the 90s? Well, it seems that Swedish slacker pop fun guys Magic Potion sure do. They’ve just released a rather retro manic video for their track ‘Booored’ which includes such 90s classics such as Netscape, Leon: The Professional, Prince of Persia, and Day of The Tentacle. The track will be featured on their upcoming debut EP Melt, which will be released via PNK SLM Recordings and as a cassette and t shirt bundle via Beech Coma.

The band, which consists of vocalist/guitarist Gustaf Montelius, bassist Kristoffer Byström and Andreas Sandberg on drums, pretty much burst out of nowhere earlier this year with the release of the relaxed and wonderful ‘Deep Web‘. The track vacuumed up praise from the likes of Gold Flake Paint, and DIY, which is hardly a surprise as its lilting lofi melody is unforgettable. Keep your eyes on Overblown for news of any upcoming tour dates.

PNK SLM (Punk Slime) stated as a music blog in 2010 run by London based musicians and since then has evolved into a monthly party and eventually into a record label by 2013. Their focus is 7″ singles and digital releases and, because they’re cool people, all profits either go to the bands or towards the cost of physical releases. The Melt EP is boutique DIY label Beech Coma’s first standalone release after three compilations released since April 2014. The label originated in Leeds, and is run by a 21 year old called Harry, who seems the amenable type. The label hosts free shows each month at The Old Blue Last in London.
