Martha Share Video For ‘Ice Cream and Sunscreen’

New album Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart  out this Friday 8th July via Fortuna POP!

Durham purveyors or DIY punk and cosmic misery Martha are set to release their second album this Friday, and to celebrate they have shared their video for ‘Ice Cream and Sunscreen’. Unsurprisingly, the video is a very lo fi affair that involves lots of hanging around in the back of a van, flowers, and lying around in fields. Delightful. Check out the video for it above.

A slow burner that explodes at the chorus, the track is about regret. We’ll let the band explain,“It’s song about getting it bad and getting it wrong. Romanticising something that doesn’t exist. It’s an acknowledgement of some of the more murky places your mind goes when you’re figuring yourself out. Acting like a teenager (whatever that means) in your mid-twenties.”
