New Album Skip A Sinking Stone  Out May 20th Via Transgressive Records.

Mutual Benefit, or Jordan Lee as it says on his passport, has shared another new track from his upcoming album Skip A Sinking Stone. ‘The Hereafter’ is the closing track on the record and was the last one written for the album.

The song helps give the record balance according to Lee, “The first song on the album is about being scared that things won’t work out and “The Hereafter” is about learning to let go and finding peace in ‘murky depths where light is found’ when they inevitably don’t.”

Skip A Sinking Stone is Lee’s first album under the Mutual Benefit moniker since the 2011 release of the debut studio fell length Love’s Crushing Diamond. The album is split into two concepts. The first half deals with love and a year of non-stop touring while the second half deals with Lee returning to New York to record and live at the Silent Barn, reflected in the relative stillness of the music that comprises the second side.
