Thirsty EP is out 22nd September via The Audacious Art Experiment.
Who: Eimear – bass / vocals, Chris – guitar / vocals, Brian – drums / vocals.
What: Math pop (FFO: Orchards, emo, pop punk).
Where: Sheffield / Leeds / Cork.
Why: You know I’d never even heard of the genre of math pop until I managed to witness Brighton’s Orchards destroy The Workman’s Club in Dublin. Impressive stuff. Mining a similar furrow is multi national trio Ganglions. Sporting intricate riffs based around major chords, a wonderful combination of voices both male and female, and a deft knack for a melody, they create a sound that is both endearing and grand.
Their new EP Thirsty is out on 22nd September via The Audacious Art Experiment, and if ‘Slow Lunch’, the first track to be released from the effort, is any indication, we’re in for a goddamn treat of slinky riffs and bags of catchiness.
