Who: Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur.
What: Instrumental indie rock.
Why: Apparently, ‘monsignor’ is an honorific form of address for members of the Roman Catholic Church such as bishops, canons, and honorary prelates. I’ve never seen or heard it used as a surname before. However, it is an apt surname for this 19 year old neo classical composer. His debut release, titled ‘a song about loss (en sang om at miste)’, is a song full of spirituality and tenderness. A simple and accessible track, it offers a hint of a composer with a knack for beauty and hooks. Not excatly an easy feat. Bravo, Aleandro.
