Why: Combining the lilting and vulnerable vocals of CHVRCHES’ Lauren Mayberry with a gleaming and charming brand of indie pop, Singapore trio Sobs are a very suitable soundtrack for this current heatwave (if it’s raining where you are I do apologise, but it is tropical in Ireland!).

‘Girl’ is the first single to be released from their upcoming debut EP Catflap. It sports a significant dash of twee songwriting with a gently breezy pace and lyrics about the unavoidable highs and los of love.
