Robocobra quartet

New album Plays Hard To Get is out on May 25th. Listen to new single ‘I Shouldn’t Have Watched The Film What Lies Beneath (When I Was Twelve)’ below.

After the sterling success of their debut album Music for all Ocassions, Belfast-based jazz/post hardcore/classical outfit Robocobra Quartet have announced the upcoming release of their second album. Titled Plays Hard To Get, the record is set for release on May 25th and promises to be a more confident and expansive effort.

They’ve also released the first single from the album. ‘I Shouldn’t Have Watched The Film What Lies Beneath (When I Was Twelve)’ is a blast of taut and restrained post-hardcore influenced experimental rock. Replete with their signature idiosyncratic vocals and lyrics courtesy of drummer and bandleader Chris Ryan, the song is as direct and to the point that the band get.
