Glasgow fuzz pop duo’s debut LP Stand Still And Rot out May 19th
It’s inevitable when you craft pretty awesome fuzzy guitar-centric pop that the comparisons will start to come. Suffice it to say that Pinact sound like they came straight out of the 90s American alt rock explosion alongside Lemonheads, Weezer, and Nirvana. This is definitely no bad thing as they pull the whole enterprise off with aplomb. While previous single, ‘Anxiety‘, was a galloping lo-fi pop punk track, ‘Up and Down’, veers into fuzzy alt rock ballad territory sporting Juliana Hatfield-esque backing vocals and the ever reliable loudQUIETloud routine. The track may be about confusion, but the duo sound confident and brash. Produced by MJ of Hookworms fame, this debut, titled Stand Still And Rot, is one to definitely keep an ear out for.
