Post-hardcore: quiqui share new album ‘町の鈴生り’

町の鈴生り is out now via Long Legs Long Arms Records.

Hashima, Japan-based post-hardcore outfit quiqui have shared their debut album 町の鈴生り. It is a 26 song compilation that comprises their first two EPs, a cover song, seven live tracks, and three new songs. A fascinating document, the record runs the gamut from post-hardcore to math rock to post-rock.

However, at no point does the music lose focus. It is consistently direct, concise, lo-fi, fuzzy as fuck, and jammed with earnest emotion. Intricate guitar interplay jams next to straight up power chords, throat shredding vocals and a nicely clanging snare drum. Enjoy.
