Nug’s debut album Alter Ego is out now via Willowtip Records.
Ukrainian post-metal quintet nug have seemingly come out of nowhere with their new track ‘Radiance’. Taken from their debut album Alter Ego, the song absolutely slaps. Led by a kind of funky bass riff that sounds like something between Flea and Justin Chancellor, the track doesn’t waste any of its six minute running time. It pretty much explodes on the one minute mark and pummels along for another five beautifully relentless minutes. Combined with the savage bass lines are some mighty mighty riffs, vocals that shred without remorse and a drummer who carefully knows when to be technical and when to be emotional. This is mega.
