Rock and Roll Bye Bye EP (25 Hour Convenience Store) released 13th May 2016.
New York indie rock trio Skaters are on tour in the UK right as we speak. So we figured it’d be interesting to hear about what they’re listening to as they traipse through the union from the White Cliffs of Dover to Stonehenge. It seems their listening habits are delightfully varied, but, you know, as Francis Bacon said, “Nothing is pleasant that is not spiced with variety.”
Check out their UK tour dates below and then have a listen to their chosen tracks and read their pearls of wisdom.

Katrina and the Waves – Walking on Sunshine
This song really helps us start our day on the right foot on gloomy English mornings! Get a life clouds.
Clash – Should I Stay or Should I Go
Our 3 year old buddy Vlad told us about this song by some English band in the 70’s. It’s a real pick me up.
Lemonheads – Rudderless
Lemonheads Greatest Hits is one of the 3 CD’s that is stuck in our English splitter van permanently . it’s been in there for 3 years. We listen to it once every few days, sometimes by choice.
Sinead O’Connor – Nothing Compares 2 U
We smoke and cry as a group to this song everyday at 4:20 pm to keep it real.
Primal Scream – Get Your Rocks Off
Cuz who needs the Rolling Stones?
The Rolling Stones – Let’s Spend The Night Together
Hole – Celebrity Skin
Tried to cover this for BBC 1 but failed. We couldn’t figure out the third chord.
Pulp – Disco 2000
Won’t it be strange when we’re all fully grown?
The Kinks – Dead End Street
Love that the French Horn player on this song was found in a pub next to the studio when it was recorded.
Blur – End of a Century
1 of the 3 Cd’s stuck in our van. Our van also oddly enough has ants in the carpet due to all the dropped chocolate.
