Cathedral  EP Out Oct 23rd Via Straight Lines Are Fine.

Irish post-punk trio Slow Riot have shared ‘Demons’ from their upcoming debut EP Cathedral, due for release on October 23rd via Straight Lines Are Fine. The track follows their debut single ‘City of Culture’, which was released to much critical delight a few months ago. Whereas ‘City of Culture’ was a tense, sardonic and taut post-punk blast, ‘Demons’ is more of a slow burner. It starts off  pretty low-key with a rumbling bass line, chiming guitar and singer Niall Clancy’s Matt Berninger-esque croon before reaching a euphoric crescendo that is sure to be a highlight of the group’s live show.

The EP was recorded in the Manic Street Preachers’ FASTER studio in Cardiff with producer Kevin Vanbergen (The Pixies, The La’s, Dinosaur Pile-Up). In June we had a chat with the band about what that whole experience was like!
