Why: This one-man prog-rock project from Hong Kong guitar tutor Siam Chan is class. Under the moniker SongChi, Chan has just released a new track titled ‘Unforgiving Barren’. It is a dexterous and technically impressive piece of music. But, more importantly, it comes with emotional heft and is damn catchy. Hopefully, he’ll be back soon with some more tracks. And maybe I can get a free guitar lesson?
