Watch Courtney Barnett’s Video For ‘Kim’s Caravan’

Australian slacker rocker shares dark video for highlight from debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.

Hot on the heels of her debut album‘s impressive chart performance in America, the UK, and Australia, Courtney Barnett has shared the video clip for ‘Kim’s Caravan’, directed by Bec Kingma. The video’s focus on the peacefulness of Australia perfectly syncs with the tracks more restrained approach. However, the slow burning, mournful music adds a sense of foreboding to the images, as Courtney sings about suicidal seals, the pollution of The Great Barrier Reef, and Jesus’ frown before a chaotic explosion at the song’s denouement.

‘Kim’s Caravan’ is being released as a 12” for this year’s Record Store Day, April 18th.
