Watch: Partholon Video Interview: “People are looking for authenticity”

Debut EP Follow Me Through Body is out now.

One of the most exciting prospects in Irish metal are Cork based post metal quartet Partholón. Aptly named after a character from medieval Irish Christian pseudo-history, their music is deeply concerned with history and heritage. These themes are combined with a sound that is focused and bludgeoning, calling to mind leaders in the post metal genre such as Cult of Luna and Neurosis.

We spoke to Howard vocalist/guitarist with the group about cheeky reviews, working with Magnus Lindberg of Cult of Luna, and dying heritages.

Listen to ‘Hunt’ by Partholón below.

Check out Partholón’s ‘Track by Track’ of Follow Me Through Body.

Grab Follow Me Through Body via Bandcamp.
