Westkust Share New Track, ‘Dishwasher’

Debut LP Last Forever  Out June 30th Via Run For Cover Records

Scandinavia is the tits, people. They’re largely socialist, atheistic countries, and it seems that also a penchant for jangly, fuzzed up poppy guitar rock is prevalent. We’ve recently been covering a laid-back lo-fi DIY trio called Magic Potion, which in turn led us to finding their fellow Swedes Westkust.

They are shit loads of fun let me tell you. Basically, the group love major chords, fuzz, and melody. Overblown’s favourite things about the group’s new track ‘Dishwasher’ are the cacophonous breakdown that leads into, and emphasises, the first chorus of the track, and the quite simply joyous interchange between vocalists Gustav Andersson, and Julia Bjernelind throughout the duration of the song. They’d be perfect on the bill at Indietracks. Plus, the whole band looks about twelve. Give the track a listen. Enjoy it. And then tell all your friends about this epic website for new music called Overblown.

As far as Overblown knows, they don’t have any shows in the pipe-line. If we are wrong, set us straight. But, we’re probably right. We do loads of research for articles and we are consummate professionals. Which would explain why Overblown tried to carry two girls around the pub on our back the other night. Succeeded too. Life win.
