Since it’s inception near Strangeways prison in 2006, Manchester’s Warehouse Project has been inviting partygoers from across the globe to cut loose via their eclectic programming; both celebrating scenes gone by and platforming the most enticing newcomers from the world of dance.
The Warehouse Project is inviting audiences to be part of a shared cultural shift, encouraging attendees to keep their phones in their pocket, particularly in the main concourse to promote less filming and more feeling.
A WHP Presentation Curated by Confidence Man // 24th Oct
The last few years have seen Confidence Man graduate from feel-good risers to festival show-stealers. Their The Levels set at this year’s Glastonbury saw the venue stretched to it’s maximum capacity and beyond, and – bolstered by postindustrialist heroes Factory Floor, The XX’s Romy and local boy Anthony Szmierek – their Warehouse Project is not to be missed.
The Haçienda // 22nd Nov
Rave culture in Manchester, not to mention the rest of the world, owes a hellova lot to The Haçienda, and 22nd November will see Acid House titans Primal Scream take to the rainy city to roll back the years alongside an era-spanning roster featuring Groove Armada, DJ Paulette and the trailblazing A Guy Called Gerald.
Homobloc // 6th Dec
A queer block party for all, Homobloc has been the UK’s premiere celebration of LGBTQ+ culture since it’s inception five years ago. The Blessed Madonna, Eliza Rose, Babymorocco and, of course, Sugababes are going to make this a night to remember. Check out our review from 2023’s event here.
Repercussion // 13th Dec
Isn’t it suspicious that you never see Caribou and Daphni in the same room? Repercussion will see both of Dan Snaith’s aliases coming together on a bill that also includes the likes of Underworld, Joy Orbison & Floating Points to make for what might just be the most stacked evening of the season.
