The track is lifted from CMAT’s forthcoming album, Crazymad, For Me, arriving October 13th.
‘Stay For Something’ makes for another landmark in a breakout year which has seen CMAT take to Glastonbury’s Woodsies stage (FKA John Peel stage), headline Ireland’s Otherside Festival and even grace a Times Square billboard, courtesy of Spotify.
Featuring Matias Téllez (AKA Young Dreams) on production duties, this new cut debuted as Hottest Record in the World via Clara Amfo’s Radio 1 show this evening (5th September).
“This song, to me, sounds like going for a run at 1am with your headphones on full blast,” CMAT – real name Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson – says of ‘Stay For Something’. “Screaming through the streets in order to get away from your problems. I hope that at least one person does that when they hear it.”
New album Crazymad, For Me will also feature ‘Whatever’s Inconvenient‘ and CMAT’s John Grant collaboration ‘Where Are Your Kids Tonight‘, the latter of which received a nod of approval from none other than Mr. Robbie Williams.
