The UK and Spanish artists performed at the Hackney venue and vintage clothing store.
A micro festival took place in Paper Dress Vintage last night (14th September), with Prima Queen and Shanghai Baby topping the bill. In association with SON Estrella Galicia, the event highlighted sustainability and live music within a community setting. Reflecting the work done by Paper Dress and SON Estrella Galicia to work locally, the two came together to bring music into their spheres.
Influenced by Lucy Dacus and Julia Jacklin, Prima Queen’s music added an ethereal yet gritty presence to the event. Shanghai Baby, the latest project of Ade Martín (of former HINDS fame), brought a more indie rock sound, complimenting her British contemporary.

A pop-up shop sold limited edition jackets that were customised with patches by local artist Tom Rockins. Tying in with the vintage clothing on sale, the unique jackets reflected the benefits of owning lifelong pieces as opposed to opting for fast fashion.
Victor Mantiñán, Head of Global Sponsorship at Estella Galicia, previously spoke about the importance of the collaboration: “For this music and beer event at Paper Dress Vintage, a vintage clothing shop, we want to generate conversation about sustainable fashion and the importance of thinking about giving clothes a second life vs. fast fashion”
