The Twits will make for bar italia’s second album of 2023, less than six months after their acclaimed Matador debut Tracey Denim.
London trio bar italia have shared details of their second full length record of 2023, The Twits, set for release on November 3rd. Along with the announcement, bar italia have given a taste of the new record in the form of ‘my little tony’, alongside a fantastically DIY-feeling music video.
‘my little tony’ drives gently but still packs a punch, bar italia’s signature brand of soft garage rock sounding as strong and refined as ever. It feels live, with raw undertones being a constant in bar italia’s sound. ‘my little tony’ sets the tone for what is to come from the new record, as bar italia take their sparse and raucous song craft and elevating it to new heights.
The Twits was recorded by the trio over just eight weeks in February of this year while holed up in a makeshift home studio in Mallorca, before the record was engineered by Marta Salogni.
