Getdown Services announce debut album Crisps with I Wish it Didn't Bother Me

The band’s inaugural album Crisps will be out on 9 November via Breakfast Records.

Bristol/Manchester Getdown Services duo have announced their newest single ‘I Wish It Didn’t Bother Me’ in the run-up to their debut album. Summarising feelings of alienation, the single is a departure from the band’s traditional sound. Weaving social commentary with everyday joyfulness, Getdown Services have already caught the eye of many.

“This song is about feeling out of my depth in social situations,” Josh Law says of the lyrics. “I think I have quite a negative outlook by nature and this song is about when that makes me feel alienated. It’s about feeling frustrated that I’m focusing so much on the crap branding of the restaurant I’m in that I’m not really paying attention to what any of the people I’m with are saying.”

Getdown Services will head out on a headline tour this Autumn, alongside playing some additional shows in support of The Bug Club and The Heebie Jeebies. Dates below.
