Overmono drop riveting single ‘Blow Out’

overmono release new single blow out ahead of their tour

Following their hit debut Good Lies, ‘Blow Out’ pushes the duo’s boundaries even further.

Overmono (aka brothers Tom and Ed Russell) have added another layer of electronic finesse to their discography with the new track. After the success of their long awaited debut record, ‘Blow Out’ lives up expectations.

Interweaving intricate beats with euphoric synths, ‘Blow Out’ doesn’t leave melody behind. As the track shape shifts, there’s a surprising addition at every break. The heavy bass is the grounding force with the hypnotic vocals lifting the track higher and higher with every repetition.

“‘Blow Out’ was the first thing we made after finishing the album,” the Welsh duo say of the track. “After that process of being quite methodical, we had an urge to write something that was really out and out lairy and wanted the bass to sound like it was playing out of a blown-out speaker.”

Overmono will be touring this September and October, embarking to the US and around Europe. They will be taking over Manchester’s Warehouse Project for Overmono Presents and finishing off the tour with a sold-out gig in London’s Roundhouse.
